Bursaries to EACD Bruges 2024

To support people who may otherwise not attend EACD Annual Meetings, the EACD Bruges 2024 Organizing Committee is providing a number of bursaries! Please click on the button below to go directly to the Bursary Application Form:

Timeline:

  • Monday 16 January 2023: Launch call for bursary applications for professionals & bursaries for families
  • Friday 29 September 2023: Deadline submissions for bursaries for professionals & bursaries for families
  • Friday 6 October 2023: Communication of acceptance/rejection to submitting applicants for bursaries for professionals

General guidelines

To support professionals from low income countries to attend EACD Bruges 2024, we are providing bursaries for professionals, and bursaries for families, for on-site participation. The EACD Bruges 2024 Organizing Committee seeks out applicants who are highly motivated, and who are ready to disseminate knowledge acquired at the meeting to others in their home country once they return. Particular emphasis is placed on assisting those from Hinari countries (https://www.research4life.org/access/eligibility/).

Bursary recipients receive:

  • Waived on-site registration to EACD Bruges 2024;
  • Valuable networking opportunities;
  • Opportunity to learn from multi-disciplinary experts in the field of childhood-onset disabilities.

Application process

To apply for an EACD 2024 Bursary for Professionals or an EACD 2024 Bursary for Families, please submit your application via the Bursary Application tool (click on the button below) by at latest Friday 29 September 2023. Please note incomplete applications will be rejected.

Bursaries for professionals

Your bursary application should include:

  • Your name
  • Your institution/company
  • Your country of residence
  • Your date of birth
  • Your CV (current employment, academic and clinical interests, career objectives, research and/or teaching experience )
  • Your motivation letter (statement of your motivation for applying for the scholarship, how you propose to implement any new knowledge obtained into your current practice and share the information with others)

Bursaries for families

Your bursary application should include:

  • Your name
  • Your family status (e.g. person with a disability; parent; sibling, etc.)
  • Your country of residence
  • Your date of birth
  • Your motivation letter (statement of your motivation for applying for the bursary and why you would like to participate to the congress)

The European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability (EACD) is an international not-for-profit association founded in 1989, and is an association for anyone with a clinical and/or scientific interest in childhood-onset disabilities in Europe and beyond. EACD's mission is to promote research and education for the benefit of people with childhood-onset disabilities throughout Europe and beyond.
